One could argue that food is one of the most enjoyable and simplistic ways that we get to have a good time within the days of our lives. The fact that we as a nation have so many convenient ways to get anything we want allows us to explore any and all kinds of foods/cultures. The fact of the matter is that what we build into our bodies ultimately becomes us in the end. Allow me to elaborate on this a little more.
The Food We Ingest Fuels Our Body On Calories
What exactly are Calories? Calories are a unit of energy that can be converted from the food that we consume on a daily basis. The average male eats around 2000 calories to stay at a healthy weight while a woman eats around 1800 every day. Calories themselves can be broken down into three major categories: Fat, Protein, and Carbs. These units are literally the molecules that make up food and apply in every thing that is on this planet.

So I can eat whatever I want right?
Yes and no. The reason why I say this is because while you can eat anything you want, if you eat a surplus of your daily caloric needs every single day, then ultimately you’ll end up packing on weight. That weight won’t necessarily be muscles, but instead it’ll be going to your fat storage system and as time passes, you’ll become chunkier and chunkier. If you do eat a surplus of calories, burning them off with activity and exercise is essential for keeping your body at its peak conditioning.

What happens if I don’t exercise?
If you are one of the lucky ones with an extraordinary metabolism, then most likely it won’t be much of an issue. The ones who metabolism has slowed, based off of genetics and age, will probably show signs of health conditions. It could be as little as the heart beating harder and faster doing things that should be considered simple or it could be underlying health problems that cannot be seen by the naked eye. Blood tests are effective in finding symptoms early on and then you may proceed to control yourself following the doctor’s instructions. If left alone for too long and unchecked, more serious conditions that may be life threatening may occur as well.
